Thank YOU!!

We gratefully acknowledge the help and contribution of the people and resources listed below, without whom this site would not have been possible:

Trevor German
Trevor is an associate member at Branch 50, Fred Geis in Kitchener, and works as a free-lance software author developing custom software solutions for various corporations in the Kitchener - Waterloo area.

Trevor is the curator of the Afghanistan Remembrance section for Branch 50's WEB site. You can find the link here:

Branch 50 Afghanistan Memorial

Trevor's guidance, assistance and advice was invaluable in helping us find our hosting service, get the initial layouts, and start building the site.

We gratefully acknowledge Trevor's help in getting us up and running.

This type of co-operation between branches is part of what will keep the Legion growing as an organization.

Mark Rowe

Mark is an author and local historian, currently living in Glen Williams. Mark contributed invaluable information and images about the "early days" of our Legion, especially the information and pictures of the GWVA.

Mark is a retired schoolteacher, and recently  (October 2010) won the Halton Catholic District School Board trustee position.
The Tanner has supplied us with photos, some articles and valuable history of the town of Acton and our Legion branch. The Tanner has always been co-operative with our Legion branch and supportive of the Legion and the branch in helping us remember the sacrifices of our veterans and the work of the Legion for our veterans and the community.

We especially acknowledge Grant Allan, the late Ham Peel, the late Max Storey and the late Pete Turkosz, for their photo spread of our WW II soldiers who were killed in action.  (see Lest We Forget page)
The Dills
Dave and Kay Dills are local historians who reside in Acton and have contributed much to the community as owners and publishers of the original Independent Newspaper, and co-authors of the book "Lest We Forget".

The Dills were very helpful in providing information and photographs of our branch history and much useful historic information that has gone into the creation of this Web site.
